What is Fall Football
Fall football is comprised of both flag and tackle divisions. Non-contact flag for the younger players and tackle from PeeWee and up. The Canadian game of football is the safest game in pads!
There are 4 divisions that play tackle, PeeWee, Junior Bantam, Bantam and Midget. There are 2 types of football – 9 man and 12 man. It is played from August to November with playoffs in December.
What is Spring Football
Spring Flag is a five on five non-contact football game that runs through the VMFL during the months of April,May and June. Each team comprises of six to fourteen players (usually) and games are played all on one day in a Jamboree. The games are 25 minutes each.
There are 6 divisions:
- Spring Flag U8
- Spring Flag U10
- Spring Flag U12
- Spring Flag U14
- Spring Flag U16
- Spring Flag U19
What is Community Cheerleading
Community Cheerleading is the art of Cheering on the crowd to keep the energy up in the Football Games. The Cheerleaders are responsible for showing club spirit.
There are 4 age groups but two different divisable divisions
- Atom
- Peewee
- Junior Bantam
- Senior
- Junior Mixed (Atom, Peewee)
- Senior Mixed (Junior Bantam, Senior)
