2015 BCCFA Spring Flag Championships Underway

The 2015 U19 BCCFA Flag championship provided a dramatic start to the this year’s tournament, with 13 teams and over 100 players from communities around the province competing for the coveted provincial banner at the Burnaby Lakes Sports Complex on Sunday, May 31. Thank you to Carmello Renzullo and  Burnaby Chargers football for hosting the U19  tournament at the  Burnaby Lakes facility.
The enthusiastic supporters at the event were treated to a high quality of play,tremendous displays of athleticism and positive demonstrations of sportsmanship.  The championship game between the North Surrey Ravens and West Kelowna Blues featured an interception by West Kelowna in the dying moments of the game to re-gain possession with North Surrey leading 14 to 12.  The North Surrey Ravens defended their slender 2 point lead with a pass knock down in the end zone on a dramatic final play.  Congratulations to the North Surrey Ravens on winning back to back BCCFA U19 Flag Football Championship.
