Spring Flag – Week 2

Everyone in the VMFL & VCFL Spring Flag football family needs to give a big ‘THANK YOU’ to North Delta minor football for hosting the week two Spring flag football jamboree at  John Oliver Park.

We played 316 games of flag football in a 10 hour period of time – an amazing accomplishment.  The fields were pristine and the food hospitality great!  But because of the continued growth of our league, our numbers overwhelmed the parking infrastructure of John Oliver park.

I know there was a significant problem with being able to move cars into & out of the park.  I appreciate everyone patience around this situation, especially knowing all the individuals involved in administrating this event are unpaid volunteers taking huge amounts of their personal time to make this jamboree a special event for every participate.

Thank you’s  go out to Rob Trent  (NDMF president), past- NDMF president, Glenn Pencer, & his wife, Tammy,  Daniel Roling (NDMF register), Troy Shannon (NDMF vice-president) & all the dedicated volunteers of Longhorns minor football.  I want to again thank Kevin Parks (VMFL Spring flag football coordinator), Kari Stewart (Coquitlam Minor football Managers coordinator), VMFL president – Valder Belgrave, Jayne Ogundehinde (VMFL secretary), Joe Carter (Langley Minor president), Paul Lancaster (VMFL commissioner), Becky Severy (Coquitlam Minor secretary), Joe Connelly (VMFL director)  , and BCCFA secretary – Kaila Rothkop for their support in administrating the jamboree.
